We aim to create the right environment where our people can find their purpose and our business succeeds by centering in four main pillars:

We believe that when talent feels supported and valued, they are more likely to unleash their full potential. Through flexibility initiatives and cultural transformation models we build more agile, human centered and empowered ways of working.

In operations we do this through our organizational transformation model (Motor+). This model drives excellence by focusing on evolving our culture, methods, and tools, to foster a high-performance system, aiming on: developing multiskills, have self-managed cells, making people feel engaged and recognized, having a simple and agile administration, and focusing on continues improvement tools. Motor+ allows our people to commit and take ownership of their results, embracing agility and empowerment in their work.

2. Building today the skills needed for the future

At PepsiCo, we ensure that our frontline associates can rely on a development framework that prepares them to be continuously learning, promoting a culture of growth mindset, curiosity, and sharing knowledge, which is key to adapt and growth their careers. 

To give some examples, we have “Escuela de Operadores” (Operators Academy) which seeks to enhance core skills of our trailer operators so that they can become “masters” of their role by using state-of-the-art simulators. We have successfully trained over 200 Operators to date. Another example is “Semillero de Talento” (Talent Incubator), designed to give our talent clarity about their career growth and visibility on the different career paths they can have, making them accountable for their development. This has led to the promotion of more than 100 associates in the last year. In Sales we have VE X MAAS (Aim for more) that provides the possibility of completing their college degree while acquiring key skills and capabilities to keep growing within the organization. In just the first generation, we had more than 270 participants.


3. Revolutionizing employee development through business transformation and technology

Embracing transformation and technological advancements creates opportunities to enhance skill sets, adapt to new tools and platforms and expand digital knowledge. At PepsiCo, we are living a deep digital transformation journey that has changed the way we operate at our core (on our entire value chain and go to market), we are making sure that our talent is prepared to assume new roles and growing responsibilities in a digital context.

In Sales, we changed our handhelds for smartphones, impacting the way our frontline makes decisions and operates. This “simple” change has required our entire team to develop new capabilities such as making data driven decisions. In Operations, with our Digital Value Transformation, we invest in our frontline ́s digital journey by ensuring and providing the right platforms for easier access to relevant information and communication to support an integrated value chain.


4. Winning with diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging

At our core, we believe that diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are essential to create a safe space for innovation, creativity, and progress. We are convinced that our talent should reflect the communities where we operate, and this is what makes us unique.

We have programs that are focused on providing trainings that tackle particular needs. As an example, for our women in Sales, we have “Mujeres al volante” (Women at the wheel) to attract and develop female talent by becoming female Sales representatives at the field, promoting a culture of equity and ensuring they have the same career opportunities. In Operations, “Impulsa” centers around creating the right conditions for everyone, removing barriers and empowering women to take roles previously seen as “jobs for men”. We also aim to honor each of our associates’ uniqueness, that is why we have programs as “Blue Line”, consisting on production lines that are fully operated by associates with hearing loss. In addition, we train our people in sign language to build a more inclusive culture. We have more than 500 associates with different disabilities, and we care for their development so they can participate in the labor market.
